We are hosting a conference in Melbourne on Thursday 2 June at The Blackman, 452 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. The conference commences at 4:00pm with presentations and plenty of time for questions. Light refreshments will be provided, commencing at 3:30pm, and speakers from USA, Canada and Greece will present an overview of surrogacy in their respective countries. There will be a break during which you can mingle with the presenters and ask further questions. An opportunity for 1 on 1 consultations will also be available by prior appointment.
Our conference will focus on presenting information on the international surrogacy programs directly from the senior management of the clinics and agencies in Canada, USA and Greece. We will also provide an overview of the Australian legal framework and processes for obtaining citizenship, passports and parentage. Given that the focus is on presenting detailed information there will be little, if any, discussion of the merits of surrogacy or the sharing of personal experiences by donors or surrogates. There is simply no time and the assumption is that attendees have already made the decision to consider or proceed with international surrogacy. The conference will not address altruistic surrogacy options within Australia.
However, some Intended Parents at various stages of their journey will be in attendance to share their experiences during the breaks and mingling sessions. Numbers are strictly limited due to the capacity of the venue and the fact that this is our first conference.
